Guidelines for authors

GUIDELINES

Each paper will have a summary (100 to 300 words) and 5 key words. Papers must be written in English or Romanian.

The Quaestus Journal does not charge a processing or a publication fee for the submitted articles.

Paperback copies of the Quaestus Journal may be ordered and purchased. The price is specified by the publishing house for each issue of the Journal (Editura Eurostampa). Delivery costs are not covered by the Journal.

Please observe the following instructions:

Length: between 5 and 12 pages;
Summary: 100-300 words and 5 key words in alphabetical order;
- Microsoft Word
- Margins: Top: 2.2 cm.; Left: 1.8 cm; Bottom: 2.2 cm; Right:1.8 cm
- Font: Times New Roman
- Font size: TITLE – BOLD CAPITALS, CENTERED, font 14;
- Author’s name – under title, centered, font 12;
- Affiliation – under author’s name, bold, centered, font 12;
- The summary – 2 lines below Affiliation, italics, font 11, indent 1.25;
- Key words – below abstract, ordered alphabetically, font 11, italics.
- Body of the paper: two lines below key words, font 12.
- Footnotes: font 10;
- The paper should be divided into: Introduction, Body of the paper (possibly subdivided), Conclusions;
- References: at the end of the paper, alphabetically ordered. List full surnames and first names, year, title (italics), town: publishing house, volume, pages.

REVIEWING PROCEDURES

All papers are subject to a double-blind peer review process. The papers are evaluated by two reviewers. In case their decisions are completely opposed, a third reviewer will evaluate the paper. Reviews must be signed and submitted to the editorial board. The name of reviewers is not disclosed to the authors.

Authors are solely responsible for the authenticity of the submitted articles. In case the reviewers consider the articles to be plagiarized, the articles are rejected.

Reviewers are asked to download the review form, fill it in and send a signed copy to the editorial board.

POLICY OF SCREENING FOR PLAGIARISM

We discourage every form of plagiarism. The authors should ensure that their works are original and have not been published elsewhere. The legal responsibility for plagiarism rests exclusively with the authors. Papers submitted to Quaestus Journal will be screened for plagiarism and authors will be required to revise their article if the reviewers decide there is a suspicion of plagiarism. However, articles may be rejected if the reviewers consider that is the case.

The Quaestus Journal aims to protect the rights of authors and investigates any claims of plagiarism or misuse of articles even after publication. In case plagiarism is detected after publication, an investigation may be conducted and the paper will be formally retracted from the electronic journal.

COPYRIGHT POLICY

All articles published in the Quaestus Journal are open-access articles distributed under the terms of Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License which permits reproduction, distribution and commercial use, provided the original work is properly cited and authors and publishers are properly identified.

Authors retain copyright of their work for all articles published in the Quaestus Journal, without restrictions. The exclusive responsibility for the articles is retained by the authors. The Editors, publisher and reviewers of the Quaestus Journal cannot accept responsibility for the infringement of authors’ rights or copyright. The author grants the publisher unlimited rights to publish the work in any format (hard copy or electronic).

The corresponding authors will be required to sign and submit an Author Agreement Form that will be sent to them after the work has been accepted for publication.
